About
Built for the exam that actually exists now.
Why this exists
In 2026 the HSK was rebuilt from six levels into nine, with a new outline, new question formats and a vocabulary list that grew to around 11,000 words. Most study material on the market is still the old six-level content with new labels on it — which means learners practise for an exam that no longer exists, and only find out on test day.
NestChinese was written against the new standard from the start, including the 7–9 band that most resources skip entirely.
How the practice works
Every answer you give is tagged against a specific exam skill, not just marked right or wrong. When a particular skill keeps costing you marks, it moves to the top of your plan and stays there until the numbers move. Writing and speaking are scored against the official criteria and corrected line by line, explained in your own language rather than only in Chinese.
The point is not to hand you more drills. It's to show you where your gaps are, and what to fix first.
Where the content comes from
- Aligned to the official outline, written from scratch. Questions are authored against the HSK 3.0 specification. We do not republish real exam papers — that would be both a copyright problem and a bad way to learn.
- The vocabulary is the official list. All nine levels, each word with pinyin, audio and stroke order.
- Audio is neural-voice synthesis. Clear and consistent across the whole list — not studio recordings, and we don't claim otherwise.
